Selling-in strategic solutions.

Roma Est Centro Commerciale, in Rome, Italy, is an extensive shopping centre with more than 220 shops and stores, plus cinema. It stretches across two floors and features a large supermarket, restaurants, cafes, and covered carpark.

One of our most technically demanding and challenging projects – we were tasked with providing strategic advice to ensure the development was designed as well as possible.

Ensuring quality.

We provided a variety of services for our client, ranging from a site and infrastructure limitations assessment and the identification of existing system defects, to recommendations for remedial measures, performance and workmanship specifications, and the production of tender documentation. Our experts also provided operational chiller support: reporting on existing chiller issues, making recommendations to maximise their performance, and creating a chiller selection and replacement strategy.

Expert management.

As well as reviewing the contractor design output for mechanical, electrical, and controls interfaces, our services also extended to the construction phase and performance testing. We made numerous site visits during the construction phase to undertake performance testing, plus a final snagging and defects inspection.

The strategic advice we provided throughout the works – from detailed design and tender process, to expert project management administration – contributed greatly to the success of the project. As such, our appointment was extended to include remedial works to the variable-speed secondary cooling and heating system, and chiller replacement.
