Managing the challenge of mixed use.

Camden Lock Village redevelopment in London aims to make a vibrant new landmark destination in the unique area of the city, famous for its exciting history and market.Camden Lock Village

Progress in phases.

The scheme includes 170 private and affordable homes, provision of a new market retail destination, including public spaces, a produce market, and incubator start-up office accommodation. The wider site development also includes a new infant and junior primary school and nursery.

We are proud to be part of the team on this highly sustainable scheme that will be integrated into the existing community in phases as the project progresses.

Sticking to schedule.

We were brought on board after the initial feasibility assessment was undertaken, so we needed to work quickly to ensure we understood the issues. We needed to deliver holistic solutions that would enable the project to move ahead on schedule. A key challenge on the project was achieving a phased handover, while delivering power from a central energy centre prior to practical completion of the whole site.

For such a large-scale mixed-use project, working collaboratively with the wider team and appointed contractor made a big difference. We were able to use our expertise and knowledge to answer any questions as soon as they arose and, ultimately, deliver successfully to schedule.
