Throughout my career, I have always enjoyed the variety of projects we work on and the chance to collaborate with different people. I’ve been fortunate to have worked across all market sectors, particularly residential, commercial and education. The best thing about my role is interacting with people to solve problems on all levels – it means no two days are the same.
Engineering human experiences.
I have always enjoyed creating fantastic buildings as part of a team and seeing an end product come to life. I get a real buzz from helping create stunning buildings that people stop and notice or enjoy being in. Some of these standout buildings include Riverwalk, a stunning project which sits on the bank of the Thames, or Chobham Academy, that was developed as part of the London Olympic village.
A defining moment.
I still remember getting my first enquiry for a new project as a graduate engineer, through a relationship I had built with the project manager through sharing some long train journeys. It taught me the value of strong relationships – something that is truer than ever today.
