The University of Surrey’s chair of public engagement in science, as well as a renowned theoretical physicist, Royal Society fellow and Stephen Hawking Medal winner, Professor Jim Al-Khalili is best known for presenting The Life Scientific on Radio 4, where he talks to scientists about their careers and discoveries. Across specialist scholarly fields as well as the storytelling world, Jim spends time with many brilliant minds for the media, which puts him at an enviable vantage point in terms of seeing the bigger picture and allowing for a more holistic overview of societal and global issues.
