The next step on our journey.
Exciting news: Hoare Lea has joined Tetra Tech High Performance Buildings Group.
Since Henry Lea first commenced practice as a consulting mechanical engineer in 1862, the firm has adapted and evolved to become the UK’s largest MEP consultancy. Additionally, we have expanded the range of specialist services that we offer and are now leaders in many of those areas. To maintain, grow and develop this position we want to adapt and respond to the world we inhabit today.
We are now working in a period of accelerated change. The climate emergency, the pandemic, societal change, globalisation and digitisation all have a significant impact on our industry.
We want to lead the way through increased complexity, increased regulatory demands and changing business models, whilst taking responsibility and recognising our role in shaping our world for the better.
We have a wonderful and unique heritage that we are very proud of and the Hoare Lea brand is vitally important to us. It is the essence of the firm brought to life. Our values, our brand and our approach to client relationships will remain. That means it will be business as usual as far as our clients, our people and our operations are concerned. Hoare Lea will operate as a stand-alone entity within the Tetra Tech Group.
Tetra Tech is a leading global environmental consulting firm. With over 20,000 engineers, scientists and specialists, they provide clear solutions to complex problems in water, environment, sustainable infrastructure, renewable energy, and international development.
Hoare Lea will be joining Tetra Tech’s High Performance Buildings Group, a global alliance of MEP firms, which consists of Cosentini Associates and Glumac in the US, and NDY in Australia,UK and Asia Pacific. This combined resource of around 2,500 like-minded people is unique, providing leading expertise in almost every building type.
Our future success is dependent upon many things, but at its heart is how we grow and develop to support all of our clients, how we provide the best workplace for our people to flourish and how we play our part in designing the built environment for tomorrow responsibly.
