Pioneering principles: intelligent hospital design.

Sharing valuable learning from the Whipps Cross project.

This week, we presented at the European Healthcare Design Congress, sharing insight into intelligent hospital design.

The talk came after we recently helped to produce a new research publication, created in collaboration with Ryder Architecture, WSP, BIM Academy and Barts Health NHS Trust that outlines the key principles. This drew on lessons learnt and innovation methods from the pathfinding Whipps Cross Hospital.

These insights will ultimately inform projects in the Government’s New Hospital Programme, helping to create better and more successful medical facilities across the UK.
