24/02/2020

Sam Shooter has joined as a new Project and Technical Director.

Sam began his professional career in 2002. Whilst being predominantly based in Wales, he has worked across the globe in Hong Kong, Amsterdam, Dublin, Dubai and the US. In the last 10 years, he has delivered several, large schemes.

Now, he is joining our Cardiff office to take an active role in the healthcare team as well as becoming a member of our senior management.

With a passion for all things digital, his previous position as Mechanical Engineering Skills Leader saw him champion technical excellence for the mechanical discipline where he defined learning requirements and training courses alongside digital and research strategies.

Sam’s wealth of knowledge was garnered on some of the UK’s largest projects, including the high-profile Christie Proton Beam Centre. This is also where he found his passion to articulate the ‘art of the possible’ to concept innovators and the digital practitioners, as well as to clients and businesses.

He commented…

Hoare Lea has a great reputation in healthcare engineering and, given the potential growth forecast, it’s going to be an exciting sector to be involved with. I’ve already seen some great things in my short time with the company and am enthused by the way the firm is looking at digital transformation and can sense a willingness to embrace evolving methods of design.

Wynne Harris, Managing Partner of Cardiff said…

Sam is a tremendous addition to both the office and the wider firm. He will undoubtedly become an intrinsic part of our overall plans and strategy for growth. We’re excited for his future with us.
