Oxford North plans go live.
Oxford's sustainability-first city district.
For the last 18 months, we’ve been involved with a project called Oxford North. It is a proposed new city district for the region, and its plans have recently been revealed for public consultation.
Oxford North promises to be the most exciting development in Oxford’s recent history.
The scheme will unlock previously inaccessible land to residents, visitors, and people passing through the area, transforming it by introducing tree-lined city streets and a mix of workspaces, homes, shops, and leisure / arts and culture buildings, along with green spaces, for everyone to enjoy.
It will be delivering 87,000 sqm of workspace, creating around 4,500 new jobs, 480 new homes for 1,500 people, 23 acres of open spaces, and three new parks. It is forecast that, once complete, Oxford North will be adding circa £150 million per year in gross value to the economy.
The consultation period concludes at the end of July and we are excited to see the direction that this fantastic project will take.
