Our consultation summary.

Our Sustainability team have recently been spending time away from their project work to look the recent proposal by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG).

Collaboratively they have created a review of the proposed ‘Future Homes Standard’ and supporting update to Part L of the Building Regulations.

This document aims to make the proposals easier to digest and help you understand exactly what they say and mean.  Through summarising the proposal, we have provided an analysis of the carbon target and given an insight to the potential work and routes you may need to take to meet this.

We all need to think about the implications of these proposals now, particularly for large masterplans that may take decades to build out.

The Sustainability team will also be liaising with Acoustics, Lighting Design and Air Quality for their views on the consultation proposals. They will be preparing a joint submission representing combined Hoare Lea views by 10th Jan 2020.
