Upcoming event: Net Zero parliamentary launch.

11/04/2019

UKGCB sets out the definition of net zero carbon buildings.

This event has now ended.

———————————————-

UKGBC is launching a definition for net zero carbon buildings at the Houses of Parliament on Tuesday 30 April.

We are sponsoring the vital Advancing Net Zero programme, which aims to drive construction and property towards a net zero carbon built environment. It forms part of a global campaign led by the World Green Building Council to create a built environment that is in line with the aims of the Paris Agreement.

We are a leading partner in this ambitious work, as a member of the steering group that has helped to create a definition for net zero carbon buildings in the UK.

The definition launch event will be hosted by Simon Clarke MP at the Houses of Parliament, with the Rt Hon Claire Perry MP providing a keynote address.

Book tickets here. Contact events@ukgbc.org if you have any questions about the event.

This event will see the launch of the definition, and we will be discussing with Parliamentarians and others how to build an effective market for net zero carbon buildings. This will require the development of intelligent policy and regulation from government as well as leadership, innovation and investment from businesses.
