A new appointment.

Prof Darren Woolf, our Head of Building Physics group, has become Chair of CIBSE Building Simulation Group at its AGM last month. One of the primary activities for the group at the moment is the organisation of seminars and a ‘prize event’ for industrial projects in the upcoming Build2Perform flagship event for CIBSE.  The group is also hosting an initiative to look into certification requirements for industry in the area of building simulation.

Darren says, ‘Building simulation with attention to the underlying physics is in support of the changes that we are witnessing in our industry driven by new technologies and expectations.  The way we work and how we design will change with developments in building simulation giving us the tools that we need.  I’m very much looking forward to supporting that process in my new role.’
