The opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge solutions in the built environment.

My journey in facade access engineering…

…began after completing my degree in Mechanical Engineering at Loughborough University.

I joined Hoare Lea as a graduate in 2015…

…eager to apply the knowledge and skills I gained during my studies and to develop my professional consulting skills.

My primary focus is…

…to elevate the safety and functionality of buildings through the design and implementation of advanced facade access solutions.

I aim to achieve seamless integration that not only adheres to industry standards but also enhances the overall building experience.

What excites me most about my role…

…is the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge solutions in the built environment. Setting the challenge of integrating varying facade access systems into architectural designs aligns perfectly with my passion for complex problem solving and professional collaboration.

I love the dynamic nature of my role. Each day brings a new and varied challenge and adapting in pursuit of successful outcomes brings a great deal of day-to-day satisfaction.

Collaborating with the inspiring professionals around me is a key aspect of my role, and it’s something I truly enjoy.

Our work is particularly valuable for the built environment…

…It directly contributes to the safety, performance, visual appeal and longevity of buildings, aligning with Hoare Lea’s North Star to enhance the well-being of both people and the planet.

Looking ahead…

…our team is excited about taking on new challenges and contributing to iconic projects that showcase the pinnacle of facade access engineering. We are committed to staying at the forefront of our field, exploring new industry advancements, and ensuring that our solutions continue to meet the evolving needs of the built environment.

I am particularly excited about our continuing work on the Elephant & Castle development. This project holds a special place in my professional journey as I assisted with drafting the concept strategy for this scheme as a graduate. It is truly satisfying seeing those designs come to life now the scheme is under construction and I am genuinely excited to see this fantastic undertaking through to completion. It exemplifies our commitment to delivering excellence from inception to realisation and beyond.

Outside of work…

…I love spending quality time with family and friends. Activities over the last year have included surfing (or attempting to) in Woolacombe, seeing Bruce Springsteen play in Amsterdam, attending Glastonbury festival, dipping toes in The Med between Wales Rugby World Cup games, wing-walking (!!), rum making and Christmas hosting.
